Working Hours
- Seasonal position based on the school’s athletic calendar.
- After-school hours required
Coaching & Player Development
- Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate practices.
- Teach fundamental skills, strategies, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Provide constructive feedbacks to support athletes’ growth and confidence.
- Ensure equitable playing opportunities aligned with league and school expectation.
- Prepare athletes for competitions through practice plans and warm-ups.
- Manage game-day logistics, including equipment, lineups, and communication with officials.
- Represent the school with professionalism during all competitions.
- Maintain a safe environment at all times, following school and league safety protocols.
- Supervise students before, during, and after practices, games, and travel.
- Respond appropriately to injuries and complete required incident reports.
- Communicate proactively with athletes, families, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and updates.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director and other coaches to support a cohesive athletic program.
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
- Assist with equipment inventory, uniforms, and facility use requests.
- Uphold school policies around student behavior, eligibility, and participation.
- Serve as a positive role model, reinforcing academic expectations and character development.
- Prior coaching or playing experience in the specified sport preferred.
- Experience working with middle school students is preferred.
- Knowledge of rules, strategies, and safety practices for middle school athletics.
- Ability to motivate and mentor students with a growth-oriented approach.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass required background checks.
