About Your Role as a Lunch & Recess Paraprofessional
This is a hands-on part-time position with day-to-day duties that include supporting, supervising and assisting students within the cafeteria and playgrounds as needed.

Hours: Part-Time, Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Compensation: $18.00 to $22.05 per hour (Bromley recognizes up to 11 years of relevant experience)

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Implements procedures for a safe, clean, and efficient lunchroom. 
• Assists with cleaning and maintaining the cafeteria during student lunch periods.
• May assist in supervising recess and ensure a safe and orderly environment for all students.
• Effectively communicates with supervisors, colleagues, and students.
• Enforces safety and security standards.
• Participates in required training.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework preferred.

• 1 +  years of experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.

• Strong desire to work and connect with students in a positive way and at their developmental level.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Basic creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage large groups of students.
