About Your Role as a Finance Assistant: The Finance Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Finance and Payroll Manager, helping ensure accurate financial records, efficient business office operations, and excellent customer service. This position assists with payroll processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, reconciliations, recordkeeping, and other accounting functions while maintaining strict confidentiality and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, enjoys working with numbers, and possesses excellent communication and customer service skills.
Compensation: $26.21 - $32.11 per hour
*Bromley recognizes up to 11 years of relevant experience*
Schedule: Year-round, Full Time, In-person
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 - 4:00 pm
*May work evenings/weekends as needed to satisfy the requirements for the role*
High-Level Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Finance and Payroll Manager to ensure efficient department operations.
- Process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Manage the P-card program, including the preparation and maintenance of monthly reconciliation documentation.
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations to help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and statements.
- Support payroll processing, including benefits administration and reconciliation activities, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond professionally to inquiries from staff, vendors, parents, and community members.
- Assist with budget tracking, financial reporting, and other finance-related projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Intermediate skills in Google Suite and Adobe
- Basic skills with HRis software and financial management systems
- Advanced organization skills and attention to detail
- Advanced mathematical aptitude
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll and finance information, including personnel information
Education and Experience Needed to be Successful:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance is preferred
- High school diploma required
- 2+ years of office or finance administrative support experience required; education setting is preferred
